Terms of Use
These terms explain the ground rules for using In the Mood and for submitting information to the community calendar.
Last updated: September 2, 2026
1. About In the Mood and acceptance of these terms
In the Mood is a community dance-event directory operated by Brain Dance Designs LLC (“Brain Dance Designs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. An independent event directory
In the Mood helps people discover events offered by independent organizers, instructors, venues, clubs, and other third parties. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, Brain Dance Designs does not own, organize, promote, host, sponsor, teach, ticket, or operate any listed event. A listing does not imply an affiliation with or endorsement by Brain Dance Designs or the event provider.
Event names, organization names, trademarks, photographs, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in the directory is for identification and informational purposes.
3. Event information may change
Event information may be supplied by organizers, community members, public sources, or other third parties. Although we review submissions, we do not independently verify or guarantee that a listing is complete, accurate, current, or available. Dates, times, locations, prices, age limits, accessibility, schedules, instructors, dance styles, entry requirements, and cancellation status may change without notice.
Always confirm important details directly with the organizer or venue before traveling, purchasing a ticket, or attending an event.
4. Attending events and dealing with organizers
Your attendance and participation are voluntary and at your own risk. You are responsible for deciding whether an event, venue, activity, instructor, transportation option, or transaction is appropriate for you. Brain Dance Designs is not a party to arrangements or transactions between visitors and event providers and is not responsible for event conduct, cancellations, injuries, losses, property damage, refunds, disputes, or the acts or omissions of organizers, venues, instructors, attendees, or other third parties.
5. Event submissions and corrections
When you suggest an event, correction, or other content, you agree that:
- The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading.
- You have the right to provide the content and it does not violate another person's rights.
- You will not include private or sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the listing.
- You grant Brain Dance Designs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, format, edit, and display the submitted content for operating and promoting the directory.
We may review, edit, decline, remove, correct, or change the status of any submission or listing at our discretion. Submission does not guarantee publication, and we are not required to preserve a listing.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use In the Mood to:
- Break the law, misrepresent an event, impersonate another person, or infringe third-party rights.
- Submit malicious code, spam, fraudulent content, harassment, or unlawful material.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or attempt unauthorized access to the website or its systems.
- Collect personal information about others or use directory information for unsolicited marketing.
7. Third-party websites and services
Listings may link to organizer, venue, registration, ticketing, map, social-media, or other third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, accessibility, security, privacy practices, terms, prices, or transactions. Review a third party's terms and policies before using its services or providing information.
8. Our content and intellectual property
The In the Mood website, software, design, branding, and original content are owned by Brain Dance Designs or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may use the website for personal, lawful event discovery and submission purposes.
9. Availability and disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, In the Mood is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the website or any listing will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, complete, accurate, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brain Dance Designs and its owners, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on a listing, an event change or cancellation, attendance or participation, dealings with a third party, website unavailability, or unauthorized access to or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Brain Dance Designs harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from content you submit, your misuse of the website, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
12. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of In the Mood and may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or third parties. We may update these terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law and severability
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
